This Ireland post will be out of chronological order.
On Day 3 of our Ireland vacation mrguy took me to Navan, and then to the Old Kilkarne cemetery in Johnstown. It was small and beautiful and the sky turned grey and filled with sprinkles temporarily. We both had Rainy Day in the Cemetery stuck in our brains.
I did not find the graves of any of my relatives who were buried there, but that was not so surprising. The cemetery had fallen into disuse a very long time ago and then was rehabbed in honor of the church's 800th anniversary in 1993. I took some pictures of gravestones, hoping that there were listings without photos in findagrave that I could contribute to. I spent this morning uploading photos and creating memorials for people whose headstone photos I had taken who did not already have them.
